Ethno Norway 2015 is now open for registration! Fill in the application form, and join us from the 5th to the 12th of August in Rørstad in the North of Norway. You will sleep in lavoos, eat local food and play music under the midnight sun all night. Sounds amazing, right? Welcome to the best summer camp that brings together participants from a variety of cultural backgrounds, a space for intercultural learning, friendship and exchange.

Ethno is a program of Jeunesses Musicales International (JMI) and a unique project for traditional/folk musicians aged 15-30. It includes a series of summer music camps held annually in Belgium, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Estonia, Macedonia, Slovenia, Sweden and Uganda, and additionally some touring projects for smaller ensembles. Each Ethno draws participants from around the globe. At Ethno, young folk musicians meet to teach each other, by ear, traditional folk songs from their cultures. Through a combination of workshops, jam sessions, seminars, and performances, musicians have the opportunity to learn a variety of musical styles.
